About the ground

Built in 1930, the Onikan Stadium on Lagos Island is regarded as the oldest stadium in Nigeria. After renovation it reopened in December 2019 as the Mobolaji Johnson Arena, a Lagos State Sports Commission venue for about 5,000 spectators, and has been home to Lagos clubs including Stationery Stores and Ikorodu City.
