TCCL team of the week selection of Matchweek 6

14th January, 2021

Olootu Alaba (Gbagada FC)

The Gbagada goalkeeper was instrumental in keeping his side in the game. Playing with 10 men, his saves ensure that his side finished the game with all three points in their pockets.

Ahmed Akinyele (Remo Stars)

Ahmed delivered a monstrous performance in Lagos. He was near-perfect in the game and was also involved in his side’s lovely team goal.

Adio Ganiyu (Remo Stars U19)

The left full-back had a blast of a game at Valiant. He was solid at the back and also provided an assist in the annihilation of the Brave boys.

Abdulsalam Wasiu (Ijebu Utd)

Despite the home loss, Wasiu was the shining light in Ijebu United’s defence on the day. His performance didn’t go unnoticed, hence a reward with a place in the TOTW.

Olumide Olufemi (Iganmu)

The defensive midfielder had a fun-filled day against Imperial FC. He controlled the midfield with absolute authority and equanimity.

Semiu Fagbayi (Gbagada)

The captain was inspirational for the Blue Eagles as they returned to winning ways. His explosive runs and burst of pace helped his side to taste victory once again since the opening day.

Oluwaseun Odunsi (Remo Stars)

Odunsi clocked in a Man of the Match performance against Valiant. Like the proverbial choirmaster, Odunsi orchestrated the game adjusting it to his tune

Akinsanmiro Ebenezer (Remo Stars)

Akinsanmiro clocked a goal and an assist for Remo U19s at Valiant, and could have had more. A menace in the opposition box, he indeed is the help of his teammates

Adeoye Jeremiah (Imperial)

There’s no better way to start your year than scoring the fastest-ever goal recorded in the league and taking your goal tally to three. Jeremiah was impressive for Imperial, as has quickly become a shining star for the rock-bottom side.

Dada Oladimeji (Remo Stars)

If Remo Stars have been ruthless in their winning run in the league, Dada Oladimeji has been instrumental in making light work of opponents. His goal, Remo U19’s third against Valiant, pushed them to the summit of the league.

Oyeniyi Hammed (Gbagada)

He became the third player to get a goal for the Blue Eagles in the TCC this season after his opener against Ijebu United. A worthy contribution that has seen his side climb to third on the log.

Olumide Ajibolade (Remo Stars U19)

A dominant display from his boys in Lagos earned them the top seat. His boys were pumped for the top of the table clash and his tactical sagacity was clearly evident.
