Dannaz, Valiant Fall Short as Real Sapphire Continue Amazing Maiden Run

The TCC Cup semi-finals have now been set as four teams advance to the next round.

First-time entrants, Real Sapphire, continue their amazing cup run as they defeated Dino. The 2022 champions failed to respond to Joshua Ibrahim’s 20th minute goal. Coach Godwin’s lads will rue their missed chances as they failed to convert in front of goal. Real Sapphire’s path to the semis is now clear as they will face Sporting Lagos

Sporting Lagos, Sapphire, also managed a clean sheet on their way to the semi-final. Coach Shola’s men fought through a slim margin as they knocked out the reigning champions.

In the other half of the draw, Beyond Limits were the biggest winners as they triumphed 5-1 against Dannaz. Shina Ayodele was the star of the game as he bagged all of Beyond Limits’ five goals.

His name will now be high on Gbagada’s list of threats to neutralize as the Blue Eagles are set to face the Remo-based side. Coach Akinyelu’s side were held to a goalless draw by Atlantic Business. Goalkeeper Lukmon Babalola would go on to shine in the resulting penalty, securing passage to the next round for his side.

Four teams now remain. Which two will make the final?
