All is now set for the second half of the 2023/2024 TCC Cup campaign. Eight sides remain and will slug it out for a chance to feature in the semi-finals of the tournament.

League debutants, Real Sapphire, have taken to the competition like duck to water. Their free-scoring form helped them to sail through the group stages. At this stage, they’ill be hoping to add Dino to their growing list of conquered opponents. Only once did Dino keep a clean sheet in the group stages.

Dannaz will need the best weapons in their arsenal when they face Beyond Limits. Their 1-7 loss to the reigning league champions a month ago will still be fresh in their minds. Up against a team that scored 10+ goals in the group stage, that semi-final ticket is on the other side of a rocky mountain.

The third fixture sees Sporting Lagos take on Valiant. Coach Owolabi’s men have failed to keep a clean sheet in the cup this season. And Coach Shola will be hoping to take advantage of this as the Lagosians seek to progress to the semis.

Both teams scored in all but one of Gbagada’s group games. If they’re to progress to the semis, they must find a way to keep Atlantic Business at bay – or outscore them. An Herculean task against a team that has scored an average of two goals per cup game this season.
