Beyond Limits, Sporting Lagos maintain 100% record

Last season’s finalists – Beyond Limits and Sporting Lagos Football Academy –  continued their fine start to the 2024/2025 edition of The Creative Championship Cup by beating Imperial and Broad City respectively.

In Group A, Sporting Lagos secured a 2-1 win over Broad City on the road to continue their fine start to the season in the league and cup competitions. Former Champions Dino also edged Iganmu Tiger 2-0, while Real Sapphire defeated Atlantic Business 1-0 via an own-goal from Korede Okeyinka.

In Group B, Defending champions, BYL, came from a first-half deficit to thump Imperial at the Remo Stars Stadium in Ikenne. Striker Daniel Arierhi scored twice to lead Olumide Ajibolade to another win in the Cup competition. Cup debutants, VOE grabbed their first win in the cup with a commanding 3-0 victory over Dannaz in Ijebu Ode, while Valiant also defeated Gbagada 3-0 in the past-winners’ clash in Ijebu Ode.

The cup games will return for Match Day three in November, with the likes of Imperial, Iganmu Tiger, and Broad City still without a win.
