TCCCUP23 MATCHWEEK 3

Valiant v Gbagada

Valiant and Gbagada face off in one of match day three games in the TCC Cup on Tuesday. The home side, in this Lagos derby, have found some joy in the league in recent weeks, while the Blue Eagles have been on the receiving end of some big defeats around the same period.

Both sides have three points each and would have their eyes on the top spot ahead of the next round of games.

MAN TO WATCH

Abiodun Toheeb (Valiant)

He’s been really good in recent weeks for Valiant and recently notched a hat-trick in the league.

Sporting Lagos v Atlantic Business

Sporting go into this game with elimination possible if they fail to beat Atlantic Business in Lagos. Both on and off the pitch, Sporting have been struggling to win games, the same situation ATL have found themselves in.

A win for the visitors could see them book their spot in the next round of the competition, which would signal the end of Sporting’s cup debut.

MAN TO WATCH

Adio Ojora (Sporting Lagos)

He’s quite clinical in front of goal and could decide this contest for his side at the Legacy pitch.

Dannaz v Broad City

It is another Lagos derby between two teams who are currently without a point and a win in the Cup this season.

However, Dannaz have found some incredible form in the league and recently defeated Beyond Limits 4-0, which could spur them to victory against their neighbours at the Legacy pitch on Wednesday.

MAN TO WATCH

Kasali Ganiu (Dannaz)

The goalkeeper was crucial in the win at the weekend and could be the difference in this contest.

Imperial v Dino

Imperial are looking in the league and in the cup this season and will host fellow Ogun state side Dino in their third game this season.

The visitors have been better this season and recently won at this ground some weeks back. It is left to be seen whether Dino will be up to the task this time around.

MAN TO WATCH

Bilyaminu Abdullahi (Imperial)

The midfielder scored four at the weekend and will be boosted by that performance to make a difference in this game.
