TCCCUP23 MATCHWEEK 2

Gbagada v Sporting Lagos

Gbagada and Sporting meet for the second time this season. The home side for this tie will be playing their second game of the Cup after losing 3-0 to Beyond Limits in their opening fixture. Similarly, Sporting surprisingly lost to Valiant.

It is delicately poised between the two sides and this should be an interesting game to see for the neutrals.

MAN TO WATCH

Adio Ojora (Sporting)

He’s the top scorer in the TCC League this term and could be dangerous in this fixture.

Atlantic Business v Beyond Limits

A second meeting of the season between the two sides here as well. In their previous game in the league, ATL won 2-1 but have since regressed since that win. On the other hand, BYL have found their rhythm and are currently on a three-game winning streak.

Here is a chance for BYL to pull away in Group B, while Atlantic have a chance to begin their cup journey on the bright note.

MAN TO WATCH

Onyebuchi Obasi (Beyond Limits)

He’s found his form in front of goal at the right time and could be a huge threat in this game.

Broad City v Imperial

It is a cup meeting between two enterprising sides in TCC this campaign. Earlier in the league, it was a six-goal thriller that saw Imperial win. And having played a game earlier, Imperial have yet another chance to put their foot in the second round with a win.

Broad City are fully aware of the task at hand and will be keen to make it count, following Sunday’s loss to Beyond Limits.

MAN TO WATCH

Bilyaminu Abdullahi (Imperial)

The attacking midfielder has been superb for his side this season and could make a difference here as well.

Dino v Iganmu Tiger

Defending champions Dino SC have been underwhelming in the league this season but can use this game against Iganmu to ignite their season.

The visitors have been better this season and recently won at this ground some weeks back. It is left to be seen whether Dino will be up to the task this time around.

MAN TO WATCH

Bamidele Adeleke (Iganmu Tiger)

The forward scored twice in his last game and the Tigers will be relying on him for goals in this encounter as well.
