Real Sapphire gave a good account of themselves in the Creative Championship League. The debutants challenged for the title in their way, with style and grit but could not wrestle it away from Beyond Limits.

The Orange side opened their league account with a 1-1 draw at Valiant before a 3-1 win over Sporting Lagos in their second game. A 5-1 thumping of Dannaz and a 2-2 draw with Beyond Limits were the subsequent results. Real Sapphire won their next two games before a first defeat of the season at the hands of Atlantic Business in Ijebu Ode.

Some of the outstanding results for Real Sapphire include the 7-1 bashing of Escola, a 4-3 win over Gbagada in Lagos, and avoiding defeats in their two games against Beyond Limits. 

In the TCC Cup, they reached the semi-finals where they were beaten by Sporting Lagos in a keenly contest game. Based on what they achieved in their first year, the motivation to go a step further will be on the high side ahead of the new campaign.
