Iganmu recorded a TCC League win over Broad City in their MatchWeek 9 contest.
Enduring a run of four games without a win, the Iganmu Lions were desperate to catch the slide down the table and get back to winning ways.
The first half saw both sides fail to convert the few chances that came their way. The strikers were guilty of not being clinical enough as the first 45 ended in a stalemate.
For the away side, they were as desperate as the home side too. Unable to win any game in their last five too, they pushed harder for a goal in the second half, testing goalkeeper Mufutau and his defenders.
It was Iganmu who took the lead in the 52nd minute as Adeola David created space for himself to slot the ball past Victor Ologbon. With the home side taking the lead and Broad City, the game was flung open as both sides went for the jugular. This led to more chances being created, and more of them being wasted.
With neither of both sides ready to rattle the onion bag, the referee called time on the game, with the Iganmu going home with the lion share of the spoils.
