Sporting Lagos Fire Blanks, Held to a Draw by Dannaz

For the first time in TCC League, Sporting Lagos failed to find the back of the net as they were held to a draw by Dannaz.

Needing all the points they could get to catch up with Beyond Limits, the home team started their game like every other home game they’ve played this season: With intensity and power. Each minute (of the first half) that passed saw them intensify their search for an early goal.

But each move they made was countered by a Dannaz team committed to not conceding the game’s first goal. The tactical contest dragged into the second half, albeit with the same result. Although both sides had their fair share of goal-scoring chances, none could break the deadlock. The Sporting Lagos goalkeeper was immense for his side as he thwarted some of the best chances Dannaz had.

The result means a set-back for Sporting Lagos as they remain in second place, now four points behind Beyond Limits. It was a good result for Dannaz however as they now have 13 points – same as Broad City and Sporting Lagos.
