Four 2nd half goals were enough for Broad City to complete their comeback and defeat Gbagada FC.
Even though five goals were scored in this clash, the first one didn’t come until the 40th minute. The Blue Eagles scored the first goal of the game as Issa Jamiu was on hand to gift his side the lead from close range. The 40th minute goal meant Gbagada took an early lead into the half-time break.
Determined not to let the hosts run away with a win, Broad City came into the second half the better side. Agbalaka Solomon, who is no stranger to scoring, pulled one back for Broad City in the 61st minute.
Smelling blood, Coach Ogunmoyero Oluwaseun pushed his side to go for the win. His side added to their tally in the 78th minute when Olashile Quadri found space for himself to fire his side into the lead. Quadri doubled his goal tally in the 82nd minute before Solomon Agbalaka added a fourth – his own brace – in the 89th minute, to give Broad City a comprehensive win over Gbagada.
