Dannaz Snatch Late Win At Emmydinho

Dannaz made it back to back wins in the TCC League as they defeated Emmydinho 2-1 in Ikenne on Wednesday.

Draw specialists Emmydinho were looking for their first win in four games while the Cedars returned to winning ways last week and were keen to birth some consistency.

The game burst into life from the blast of the whistle as both sides came out fighting for the three points available in the matchweek eight encounter.

Dannaz’s Precious Emmanuel capitalised in the fourth minute to hand coach Fatai Akande’s side the lead in the contest. Moments later the hosts were forced into an early change when Samuel Kufre came in for fellow central defender Umeagu Uche.

The home side, shocked by that goal, pushed for a leveller for the rest of the half. However, the result never came into fore.

After the interval, the Cedars made subs to help preserve the lead, while the hosts kept bringing attacking players on to help them in the final third.

One of the subs for Emmydinho Sunday Chukwu, stabbed home the equaliser in the 85th minute to send the bench into frenzy.

However, with the game delicately poised for yet another draw for the hosts, Dannaz skipper Bahna GoiGoi came up with a goal at the death to seal the win for the visitors in stunning fashion.
