Valiant Claim First Win of The Season At Dino

Valiant have their first win of the Creative Championship League campaign as they beat Dino 3-1 in Ijebu Ode on Saturday.

Both sides have been struggling this season and it was the Lagosians, who are yet to win all season, that took advantage.

Dino, who started as the favourites, failed to find their range when it mattered most as the Brave boys profited and punished them.

The opening half looked like ending goalless until Abiodun Toheeb scored to put Mustapha Owolabi’s side ahead but Dino responded just four minutes later through Iwar Paul.

But that wasn’t the last action of the half as Toheeb grabbed his brace on the dot of halftime to restore his side’s lead.

After the break, the home side intensified their efforts to find a leveller but the away side stood firm. When the game was ending for its conclusion, Toheeb scored again to compete his hat-trick. 

It was a much-needed win for the away side, who have now moved closer to the other teams ahead of them.
