The log leaders Remo Stars U19, entered this game with a plan to increase their lead at the top of the table. Coach Olumide’s boys, having enjoyed a good home form this season, welcomed Ijebu United, a side also looking to climb higher on the table.
The away side started the game the liveliest as they called goalkeeper Dolapo Adebowale into action a few times in the first half. A few saves by their goalkeeper, and a goal line clearance by Rasheed ensured that the first half ended without a goal.
Both sides pisces things up from where they left them in the second half as they searched for the evasive goal. The first of the game would come in the 64th minute when Ibrahim Jabaar’s left-footed strie found its way past Dolapo Adebowale.
In a bid to avoid a second home loss of the Creative Championship, Coach Olumide’s boys pushed for an equalizer. And it came in the 80th minute when Oladimeji Dada, being put through on goal, drew his side level in the game.
The spoils were shared as Remo U19 endured a second consecutive draw, something the coach had one or two things to talk about.
Man of the Match
Seun Odunsi was, once again, instrumental in helping his side carve out chance after chance. Another Man of the Match award in the kitty for the Remo U19 midfielder.
