Iganmu recorded a third draw – in seven games – with their stalemate against Atlantic Business.
The home side, teetering around the bottom of the log, came into this game needing a win. With this in mind, the Iganmu Lions started the game on the front foot, with Bamidele Adeleke powering home from close range to give Iganmu the lead.
Falling behind early was a difficult hurdle for Atlantic to surmount. They however ensured that they didn’t fall too far behind as they continued to create chances and also keep the Lions at bay.
The second half began the same way the first ended, with Atlantic Business looking for their equalizer.
It would come in the 51st minute of the game, with subsitute Sulaiman Onafowokan pulling one back for the visitors.
Both teams would remain inseparable, despite Iganmu’s Seun Abayomi getting sent off for receiving a second yellow.
With Atlantic Business failing to capitalize on the extra-man advantage, the game finished in a draw. This means Iganmu’s search for a second win of the season continues.
