League leaders Beyond Limits needed two late goals to secure a comeback 2-1 win over Imperial on Saturday night in Ikenne.
The defending champions returned to winning ways last matchweek and were hoping for another win against Imperial – a side they managed multiple wins against last season.
However, the Odogboolu based side have shown massive turnaround this season having beaten Gbagada and Valiant already and were placed second.
The game between the two sides was quite cagey as chances were few between them in the opening exchanges.
After the break, the visitors took the lead through Idase Melody just two minutes in. Adedeji Ayeoba’s men held on for so long before Farouq Ogundade scored from the spot to drag the home side level with four minutes to play.
Not satisfied by the scoreline, the junior Sky Blue Stars went for the winning goal and that eventually came in stoppage time. Ogundana Shola fired home from distance and this came after Salau Yusuf had been sent off for the visitors.
The win took the champions to 16pts, four more than Imperial after seven matchweeks.
