Valiant FC failed to pick up maximum points in their Matchweek 5 clash against Emmydinho.
The first TCC League game of the day saw bottom-of-the-log Valiant try to lift off against an Emmydinho side on a two-game unbeaten run.
Desperate for their first three points of the season, the Valiant Boys took the battle to the enemy’s gate in the early minutes of the game, creating chance after chance. Their early onslaught would pay off in the 14th minute when Captain Sixtus was on hand to give his side the lead.
For Emmydinho, it was the fourth game in a row without a clean sheet. But they were not going to let it be another TCC League game without a goal. Waking up from their slumber, they grew gradually into the game, finding their rhythm against the home side.
It didn’t take long to exploit a defense that has failed to keep a clean sheet this season and find their own goal through Brain Carlos. With the score even, both sides resorted to keeping each other at bay.
The second half was just like the first ended, opportunities created but none converted. The game would end in a draw, Emmydinho’s sixth point of the season, Valiant’s second, out of a possible 15 so far.
