Valiant FC vs Emmydinho

Valiant FC defeated Emmydinho by 3-1 goals to one in the first Lagos derby of the Creative Championship league.

Topping the table, Coach Achieve Yunus’ side looked to maintain their top spot heading into this game. For Emmydinho, it was about building on their MatchDay 3 win over Imperial FC.

The home side opened the scoring in the fifth minute as Nwoke got his goal and put his side in the lead. For the second game running, Valiant FC scored a goal in the first 10 minutes of the game. It was also the fourth game in a row which would see the home side score the first goal of the game.

They were however pegged back in the 25th minute of the game when David Williams pulled one back for Emmydinho. The first half-half would end without a winner and the second half was on its way to ending without a goal when Lukman Ibrahim struck, twice.

In the 90th minute, the striker headed home from close range after Abdulahi Aliu tipped a free-kick onto the goal post. Lukman was again on hand to convert from the spot to finish off an Emmydinho side that has won only once so far this season.
