Imperial FC 1-2 Dino SC
Dino Resurgence Continued At Imperial
Dino SC continued their resurgence in the TCC League with a morale boosting 2-1 win at Imperial on Wednesday.
The ‘lions’ who claimed a maiden win last time out, followed that up with a win at high-flyers Imperial FC on matchweek four. Godwin Gibson’s men had the best possible start when winger Hyacinth Ogbonna gave them the opener in the third minute.
While the celebrations of the first goal was still on, Pascal Chukwudi made it 2-0 to the visitors just 60 seconds later to put them in the ascendancy in the encounter. Dino, being a very compact unit, defended quite well for the rest of the half to maintain their lead.
After the break, Imperial hoped to turn the game on its head but that was not possible as the visitors continued to hold firm against Chidera Ezeno and co. Imperial coach Adedeji Ayeoba made changes to his side by sending Obayemi Michael, Bunmi Akande and Segun Olatunbosun on in search of a lifeline.
However, in the dying embers of the game, Bilyaminu Abdullahi got one back for the home side, but it was not enough as Dino held on for a second successive win in the league this season.
