Imperial have replaced Emmydinho at the base of the Creative Championships after falling in Lagos on Matchday 3.
Both sides arrived the game without a win from their opening two games, with the hosts the worse of the lot. Emmydinho had conceded the most goals and were yet to score before the fixture, leaving the gaffer with a lot on his plate.
However, they flew out of the blocks like hungry wolves seeking respite, and should have gone ahead early on, drawing a save from the visiting goalkeeper. The game would swing like a pendulum like many Imperial games have been so far, with the visitors profligate as ever.
They would be made to rue those chances as Enyiang Brain was on hand to convert on the rebound after a spill from the goalkeeper, with huge respite coming for the hosts.
It was not an outstanding scoreline, and they still remain the team with the worst goal difference in the league, but the result would at least mean the air is different in terms of the position they occupy ahead of game week 4.
