Broad City returned to the Legacy Pitch to host fellow Lagos based side Dannaz in one of match week three games of the TCC League.
Fresh from their defeat to Imperial last time out, Broad City were hoping to bounce back in their second home game of the season. Dannaz were coming to this game on the back of their massive win over TCC Cup champions Dino SC last week.
To the game proper, it was a battle of two teams trying to get their noses in front as quickly as possible. The home side did better in that regard as they were able to keep the ball and create more chances than their opponents.
All through the half, it was a ding dong affair and the opening would eventually come just before the break when the home side were awarded a penalty. Oyene Elijah stepped forward and converted beyond goalkeeper Oluwashogo Moses in the 42nd minute.
That goal changed coach Fatai Akande’s Half-time team talk certainly, but the response after the break was still short of his desire as the home side doubled their lead. Christopher Jeremiah headed home a rebound after Solomon Agbalaka’s free kick came off the woodwork.
From the moment on, Broad City took absolute control running circles around their opponents who were surprisingly poor all afternoon.
Dannaz tried getting back into the game but they found no opening as the home side won the game and kept a second successive clean sheet at home.

MAN OF THE MATCH
Solomon Agbalaka (Broad City)
The experienced defender showed his class in the game and he was key to the second goal. Another good day at the office for him.
