Gbagada FC recorded their second win of the TCC League season with a slim win over Dannaz FC.

Both sides, in search of their second win of the season, started the game rather cautiously, with the first 20 minutes of the game going by rather quietly. Chances were few and far in between and there was nothing serious until Dannaz got a freekick in the 21st minute, a freekick that was sent high.

The Blue Eagles, gaining momentum, created a chance for themselves when Oyeniyi’s cross found Akibu inside the box. However, it was too far a stretch for the striker to manage a shot on target. Dannaz were again profligate with their chances as they fluffed a promising attack in the 36th minute. What started as a quiet half ended as same, with both sides heading into the break inseparable.

Gbagada started the second half with two substitutions as they looked to switch things up. The evasive goal would eventually come in the 56th minute when Ademola Akibu, having lost his marker, was on hand to power home a cross from the right.

The game did not end without Dannaz throwing away more goal-scoring chances, end-to-end stuff and Gbagada recording a second successive league win.
