Atlantic Business surprisingly lost 2-1 at home to visitors Iganmu FC in Sunday’s match day two TCC Cup game at the Dipo Dina Stadium in Ijebu Ode.
Playing their first ever-home game in the TCC Cup, Atlantic Business could not consolidate on last weekend’s 1-1 draw against Gbagada FC in Ikenne. While, Iganmu FC slumped to a 2-1 loss to last year’s semi finalists Valiant FC 2-1 in Ikenne and were hoping for a good outing against Adiro Olayinka’s boys.
Despite losing defender Nwokolo Henry to an early sending off after he received two bookings in three minutes, Iganmu FC went in front through Michael Osawaru’s well taken goal in the 21st minute. The goal prompted some urgency on the part of Atlantic Business, but their efforts to restore parity were repelled through the Lagosians’ well organised defence.
And against the run of play in the 41st minute, Ogunfeyimi Gbadegesin profited from some criminal defending to extend the lead for Adebogun Adekunle’s boys.
A minute after the break, Atlantic got a goal of their own through Chissoma Okereke. Despite the man advantage but a goal down, the God’s own team failed to find the leveler in the end as the visitors held on for their first win of the campaign.
