Dino made it six wins away from home as they defeated Dannaz in their MatchWeek 18 fixture.
With the opportunity to leapfrog Gbagada and occupy second on the log available, Coach Gibson’s men did not want to pass it on. That’s why they started the game as the better side, creating scoring chances and heaping pressure on Dannaz.
Their chance would come in the 28th minute as a Dino player was felled in the Dannaz 18-yard area. Ikechukwu Friday step up to the spot and converted. Dannaz, in a bid to make a comeback in the game, pushed forward and created chances of their own. But they failed to make the most of them.
In the second half, Dino continued to cruise, despite all of Dannaz effort. One quickly became two for them as Okiemute Adagharagba found himself in the right place at the right time and double the away side’s lead in the 73rd minute.
For Dannaz, this loss meant that they finished their maiden season with only one home win and one home draw. Dino, on the other hand, boast the best away record in the league, winning six games. It could be seven when they play their outstanding fixture against Iganmu.
