Iganmu Lions Rip Valiant Apart

Iganmu recorded an away win when they got the better of Valiant.

After enduring a torrid run of games, the away side got the game rolling by scoring the first goal in the 37th minute. Osawaru Micheal’s goal was a direct result of the pressure that Iganmu had been mounting on Valiant’s defense.

Valiant, not to be pushed aside, also tried their best to get even in the first half. But all of their efforts were either saved or way off the target.

In the second half, it was Iganmu who started like they wanted the three points more. Osawuru was again on hand to put one past Adebayo Abiodun as they went two up. Two became three in the space of just two minutes as Ibrahim Oseni rattled Valiant’s onion bag yet again.

Three goals down, with a little over forty minutes to be played, Valiant began to search for a way to comeback.

Substitutions were made, of which Yakubu Yahaya was one of them. He’d find the back of the net for the home team in the 58th minute of the game. His goal turned out to be the only one Valiant managed in the game.

While they’d be gutted to lose to Iganmu, the away team, on the other hand, will be celebrating a first win in their last six games, three points that’d be greatly cherished.
