Surprise packages of the TCC Imperial FC, made light work of Emmydinho, with a comfortable 5-0 bashing at the Remo Stats stadium on Sunday.
With the season practically close to its finish line. Imperial, who have distinguished themselves among the teams that failed to make impact last term, cruised past their opponents to keep their place in the top four.
Emmydinho, bottom and winless in many games, actually stood no chance as they have been the side with the ugly record in the league.
The game kicked off with Imperial scoring twice in the opening ten minutes. Temitope Adaralegbe opened the scoring with a goal of his own in the second minute before Ologe Eric made it 2-0 five minutes later.
After that quick start, Emmydinho stabilized and began playing their game. Their performance improved towards the end of the first half and they showed some promise.
After the hour mark, coach Adedeji Ayeoba’s men found their third goal as Abdullahi Bilyaminu increased the tally before foreign import Ouedraogo Solo made it four in the 78minute, but there was still time for Bilyaminu to grab a second in the late embers of the game.
