Imperial jump to Third with Impressive Victory over BroadCity

Imperial were more than enough for opponents to handle as they picked up an away win against BroadCity.

Both sides came into the game needing the necessary three points to lay claim to the third spot on the log. As such, it was no surprise that the game started in a cagey fashion, with both sides testing each other but failing to find the breakthrough.

The first half saw resistance from the home team as Coach Adedeji’s team sought to break the deadlock. Both sides would go into the break without a goal and with plenty to ponder upon.

Imperial started the second half in fine fashion, heaping on the pressure on their opponents and asking questions. All that pressure would go on to pay off in the 69th minute as Ezeno Chidera – who came on only in the 68th minute – opened the scoring with a fine finish.

The second-half substitute would go on to get his brace just a minute later as Imperial increased their lead. All efforts of the home team to mount a comeback was killed off in the 71st minute as Biliaminu Abdullahi got in on the action with a sublime finish for Imperial’s third.

The win sees Imperial climb up to third as BroadCity drops to fifth.
