Valiant Ends Season With A Win At Imperial

Valiant triumphed in the Ikenne goalfest to inflict another home defeat on Imperial in their rescheduled matchweek 16 game on Sunday.

It’s been a turbulent season for Valiant, but they managed to finish on a high with a win over the most surprising team in the league this term.

Youngster Olaniyan Gafar made it 1-0 in favour of the men in green, before Uzugwu Uche equalised for the home side some minutes before the  break.

After the interval, it was quite cagey for large periods of the game. However, in its final 15 minutes, life was breathe into it as both sides went for each other in search of the winner.

The Brave boys through Ifeoluwa Agboola scored twice in nine minutes to lead the game with few minutes to go on the clock. Although, Adaralegbe Temitope managed to get one back for the hosts, it was the visitors who held on for a win in Ikenne.

Both teams are no longer in the TCC Cup and will be focusing on their NLO campaigns for the rest of the season.
