Emmydinho drew the curtain on what has been a season to forget by finishing on a high with a win over Broad City.
Even though a win would not have changed their log position, the away side were determined to round things off on a positive note.
With this determination, Emmydinho kicked things off and got the first goal of the game in the eighth minute of the game. Having scored the first goal of the game, Anagor Emmanuel was again on hand to double his side’s lead and give them a two-goal cushion.
Broad City, on the other hand, were obviously staggered by being behind just after 15 minutes. They’d shake themselves up and try to at least pull one back before half-time. But the Emmydinho defense was resolute enough to not concede a goal till the half-time whistle.
The second half started with two sides to the tale: On one end, there was the home side trying to draw level, and on the other, the away side trying to pull away even further from their opponents.
Broad City were relentless in their efforts to get a goal. And they found their breakthrough in the 74th minute when Christopher Jeremiah pulled one back for his side. The remainder of the game would see both sides fail to add to their tally.
This TCC season will be one to remember for both sides, albeit for varying reasons. For Broad City, as the maiden season in which they did well, for Emmydinho, as the season where they finished rock-bottom of the log.
