Gbagada continued their somewhat decent form with a late 1-0 win over Atlantic Business in Ijebu Ode on Sunday.
The Blue Eagles have not been at their best all season but a couple of decent performances in recent weeks have seen them stabilize at the back and concede a few amount of goals. As for Atlantic, they continue to blow hot and cold this term, dropping points when they shouldn’t be doing so.
The two side have spent the large parts of the season in the bottom half of the table and it was quite cagey when the two sides took to the pitch in the day’s opening game.
Adiro Olayinka’s side had their moments in the game but failed to use them judiciously, while the likes of Gabriel Sanda and Gbadamosi Rilwan were running the show for the side from Gbagada, goals were not easy to come by.
In the final moments of the game, the Blue Eagles were able to snatch a last-gasp winner through Rilwan.
As a result, the God’s Own Team failed to build on the result they picked against neighbours, Dino SC last match week, while Gbagada nicked their fourth win of the season.
