The log leaders extended their unbeaten run in the league with a routine win over Dannaz.
Just after the 15th mark, Olúwaṣeun started off a run with the ball from deep in his half. He found Onyebuchi on the right, who threaded a pass into the opposition’s 18-yard box. Morufdeen Moshood was on hand to control and slot home to put Beyond Limits ahead.
Not satisfied with just one, Coach Olumide’s boys pushed for more goals while stifling everything Dannaz threw at them.
Morufdeen found himself one on one with only the goalkeeper to beat just before the half-hour mark. After rounding the goalie, he placed his attempt wide of the goal. In the 35th minute, Morufdeen scored his second. The same combination that produced the first goal combined yet again this time around, with Onyebuchi the provider again, and Morufdeen the recipient before slotting the ball into an open net.
At the other end, Dannaz kept trying to get their first goal. However, a resolute Beyond Limits defense plus miscommunication meant their first goal remained evasive.
With regular time spent, and a few substitutions by both sides, Beyond Limits put the icing on an impressive first half display, with Oluwashola Ogundana finishing off a routine move by the visitors, to give his side a three-goal lead going into the break.
The second half began with most of the action in the middle of the pitch.
Eight minutes into the half, Michael Atata was adjudged to have fouled a Dannaz player in the 18-yard area. The resulting penalty was converted by Onoja Matthew.
Following a handful of substitutions by both sides, the intensity dropped, with Beyond Limits content to contain the attacking forays of the home side.
The game would end with Coach Olumide’s side earning three more points in their title-defense bid.
