BroadCity moved further away from the bottom half of the table with a win over Iganmu Tiger.
Coach Ogunmoyero’s side were looking to follow up on their triumph against Atlantic Business where they managed to keep a clean sheet and get all three points.
Iganmu Tiger, seeking a first league win of the year, started the game in fine fashion. With each foray forward, they sought to breach the BroadCity defense. However, all of their attempts, especially in the first 30 minutes of the first half, ended up being unfruitful.
The home team, sensing the opportunity, took the initiative, and went in front through Okonkwo Chukwuka’s 38th minute goal. Determined to finish the game with a win, BroadCity came out in the second half and got an early goal through Alanta Azuka’s 47th minute goal.
The visitors failed to score in a league game for the first time this year, and also fell to yet another defeat. With 16 points, they’re now eighth on the log table while the hosts, with their win, moved to fourth on the log.
