Gbagada edge Valiant in Lagos Derby

Gbagada and Valiant met for the second leg in the TCC League to clinch their first win of the new year and it was the Blue Eagles who won 2-0.

The two sides have found themselves at the wrong ends of the table this season, occupying the bottom two spots.

Gbagada have fared better in recent weeks and they duly showcased that to edge their opponents at the Legacy Pitch.

After a drab first-half between the two teams, Gbagada scored twice in three minutes to go past their opponents. Wasiu Balogun fired home from the spot in the 54th minute before Gbadamosi Rilwan doubled his side’s lead moments later.

It was rather comfortable for Coach Akinyelu Olajide’s side in the end after a period of sustained pressure. On the other hand, the Brave boys remain bottom of the log as the home side moved closer to ATL in the standings.
