Dino gave an outstanding second half performance to beat Emmydinho 4-2 at home in the TCC League on Saturday.
Having claimed a win at Valiant last wednesday, the Lions came into this game with the hope of closing the gap on league leaders Beyond LImits, while Emmydinho have been in the bottom zone all season.
The home side got ahead as early in the 6th minute when Pascal Chukwudi stabbed home the opener. Three minutes before the half-hour mark, Jonathan Michael restored parity for the visitors as the half ended 1-1 at the Dipo Dina Stadium in Ijebu Ode.
After the break, the hosts went ahead once again through substitute Ikechukwu Friday but that lead only lasted 60 seconds with defender Timothy Edet turning the ball into his own net. Meanwhile, the away side kept holding on, as Godwin Gibson’s side fail to make their chances count.
However, with less than a quarter of an hour to go, defender Samuel Asogbon scored in the second successive game for the men in blue before Henry Azimi wrapped up the win a minute from time.
Consequently, the win takes Dino to second, while Emmydinho remain bottom of the log and have lost four of their past five games.
