Remo Stars U19 and basement boys Imperial FC reopened the TCC League curtains with an exciting 2-2 draw in Ikenne on Thursday.

After the interval and a host of changes, they kept opening up the opposition’s defence in search of a goal but it was not forth coming. The Sky Blues found a way back into the game in the final ten minutes.
After a series of missed chances, they finally found a way back into the game. First, Ogungbe Ayomide’s bullet strike in the 82nd minute handed them a lifeline. They weren’t done and five minutes later, they were back on level terms.
Substitute Ezekiel Light became the hero when he scored the equaliser for the league leaders, who escaped a home loss to the league’s bottom placed side. It finished 2-2 at the Remo Stars Stadium.
Remo Stars increased their lead at the top to four points while Imperial remain rock bottom.
