Dannaz thump Atlantic Business to begin 2023 in Style

Dannaz continued their brilliant form this season with a 4-1 bashing of Atlantic Business in Lagos on Sunday.

The Cedars enjoyed a lot of successes and wins in the first half of the season and were keen to continue in that same terrain when they hosted an inconsistent ATL at the Abati Barracks on Matchweek 12.

Aderibigbe Paul fired in from the spot after just eight minutes to give the home side an early lead but ten minutes later the visitors found an equaliser through Casmir Okorie. In first half stoppage time, Paul scored again to ensure his side went into the break in the lead.

For large periods of the game, it was balanced and cagey as the Cedars prevented Adiro Olayinka’s men from getting back into the contest.

However, it was in the final quarter of the match that the home side put the game beyond the God’s Own Team to help them keep up with Beyond Limits and Sporting at the top of the TCC log.

Substitute Temitope Abiodun scored in the 79th minute before skipper Woleola Sheriff added another five minutes from time to complete the win.

Dannaz moved up to third with the win, while ATL remained third from bottom.
