Beyond Limits Edge Broad City in Lagos

Defending champions Beyond Limits were guests of Broad City at the Abati Barracks Pitch in one of matchweek 12 games on Saturday.

The Ikenne-side have been top for a while now and after a slight slump at Dannaz, they have been able to rack up comfortable wins in recent games. While Broad City also came into this fixture on a two-game winning run.

It was a cagey affair in the first half as chances were difficult to come by for the two teams. They were trying to adjust to the playing surface and being the first game of the new year, sharpness wasn’t equally expected.

After the interval, it was a different game entirely as BYL upped the ante creating numerous goal scoring chances. While they fluffed them, there was still time to notch two goals in the final half hour.

Muyideen Olude finished off a fine cross from Onyebuchi Obasi to open the scoring for the visitors before completing his brace 15 minutes from time after some good work by the trio of Obasi, Farouq Ogundare and Promise.

The visitors held on for a win and a precious clean sheet – two in two games.

Consequently, Broad City dropped to fourth, while BYL remained top of the log after 12 games.
