Beyond Limits and Imperial faced each other in a local derby at the Remo Stars stadium on Saturday night.
The game, being one of the match week eleven games of the Creative Championship League this weekend, lived up to the billing as both teams delivered a spectacle in a cagey game.
Imperial have been rising and doing well against other teams in the division but one team they have always failed to beat is Beyond Limits.
Following a recent bashing of Gbagada, Imperial had more confidence coming into this fixture than the visitors who were without a win in their two previous league games.
The game kicked off with both sides having a go at each other and it was Beyond Limits who drew first blood in the opening 70 seconds of the game, as Kparabo Arierhi slammed home a low cross from Shola Ogundana to hand the junior sky blue stars the lead.
It was then cagey from that moment on with Imperial seeking to get back into the game, while BYL were desperate to keep a clean sheet for the first time in three games.
The huffing and puffing of the hosts continued in the second half but they failed to hit the back of the net. BYL, on the other hand, stood firm at the back to see out yet another win against their neighbours.
Beyond Limits moved back to the top of the league, while Imperial remained in the top five as the league went on a break ahead of the new year.
