Broad City enter top half of the table with win over Dino

Broad City the second half of their TCC League campaign with a win over Dino SC.

Having earlier lost at home to the same opponents, Broad City travelled to the Lions’ Den to face Coach Godwin Gibson’s team.

The game started with both sides being cautious, with Broad City wary of conceding the first goal and Dino wary of letting an early one get past them. The deadlock was however broken in the 35th minute when Hyacinth Ogonna found the back of the net for the hosts.

The lead didn’t last long however as Oyene Ifeanyi pulled one back for the visitors. The first half ended with intensity as both sides tried to finish the first 45 with a win.

The second half began with a few substitutions from both sides both not much changed. The fixture seemed headed for a stalemate until 2nd half substitute Sanusi Hanif, who had been influential since being brought on in the 63rd minute, poked one in for the visitors and put them in the lead for the first time in the game.

The visitors would hold on for a win that has put them in fifth place on the log table as they aim to catch up with the leaders.

Brought on in the 2nd half, Sanusi’s presence changed the direction of the game for Broad City. His goal served as icing on the cake for a stellar performance from the youngster.
