Emmydinho vs Dino SC

Saturday 21st November, 2020

Venue: Agege Stadium

Full-time: Emmydinho 0 - Dino SC 2

The first Creative Championship game was played at the Agege Stadium between hosts, Emmydinho and visitors, Dino Sporting Club. It finished 2-0 in favour of Dino Sporting Club, same margin they won the previous friendly (played between the sides) by.

It was a game that sprung to life just before the half-hour mark, when Dino SC went ahead courtesy of a well-taken penalty from Elijah Adekunle.

Four minutes later, Emmydinho soon had their own penalty, but Ezuke John who had been tasked with the responsibility, missed from 12 yards. The home side would soon rue that miss, Adekunle tucked home a second to complete his first half brace and give his side a two-goal cushion.

After the internal, the home side turned on the heat and tried to find a way back into the game, but they met a resilient defensive shape of the visitors, who had only one thing in mind – victory.

Having scored twice in the first half, Dino SC were a bit more conservative after the restart knowing that the deed had been done earlier.

This is a result that would leave coach Idowu Adekanye with so many questions demanding answers, while his opposite number Godwin Gibson would be more impressed by the display of his boys in enemy’s territory.

Not the start the home side wanted, not one the visitors would not have envisaged and in all, it was a good game for the neutrals.
