TCC League newcomers, Broad City, welcomed Imperial FC in their league debut. The away side, riding on the wave of their impressive TCC Cup form, started the game the better side as Ezekiel Samuel opened the scoring in the second minute.

It didn’t take long for the home side to draw level as Kassim Shobanke put one past Abiade Sodiq. By the 20th minute, Imperial’s pressure would pay off when Exeno Chidera restored his side’s lead. The half finished with Imperial taking a lead into the break.

Geared by the Coach Ikechukwu’s half-time pep talk, it only took Broad City three minutes to draw level as Boluwatife Adams was in the right place at the right time to convert.

Selling blood, the home side healed the pressure on Imperial and were duly rewarded for their efforts in the 64th minute when Kassim Shobanke got his second of the game. All efforts by Imperial to get a third was thwarted as they lost their first game of the season.
