Stalemate in Ikenne as Beyond Limits and VOE FA Share Points

Beyond Limits and VOE FA picked up their third draw of the season in a clash that saw both sides fire blanks.

The contest, which began as a lively affair, saw both sides register early intentions to break the deadlock. VOE FA looked likely to score the opener when they came close in the opening minutes. But the left-footed strike went just wide.

At the other end, Beyond Limits made a habit of catching their opponents off-guard with counterattacks. But they had nothing to show for it as both sides ended the half without a goal. The closest they came to scoring was when they actually found the back of the net but had the goal ruled out for offside.

The profligacy continued in the 2nd half as both sides continued to waste gilt-edged chances. While the opportunities seemed to dry up for VOE FA, their hosts continued to stay on top of the game, creating chance after chance. But the tale followed the same trajectory: good chance, poor end product.

The visitors held on for a point, which they were relieved to get after the final whistle. For Beyond Limits, it’s another two points dropped as they remain five points behind the league leaders.
