Dino Slump Continues as Valiant get Third Point of the Season

Dino’s return to winning ways was delayed for another MatchDay as they were held to a 1-1 by Valiant.

The fixture started as a cagey affair, with both sides creating little chances. The defenders gave little away and touches in the opposition box were reduced to the barest minimum by both sides.

The Brave Boys, in the 35th minute, came alive and valiantly attacked the hosts. Sixtus Elegalam was at the center of it all, as he danced his way into the 18-yard area. He was however felled by Christian Nwachukwu, thereby winning a penalty for his team.

Abdullahi stepped up to the spot and promptly sent Nathan Godwin the wrong way to put Valiant in front. The lead however only lasted three minutes as Dino restored parity in the 38th minute.

Coach Godwin’s men won a freekick in the right-hand area of Valiant’s box. At first glance, it looked like a difficult angle. The ball however seemed perfectly placed for Hassan Agbede who, choosing direction over power, sent the ball flying into the top right-hand corner of the net.

After the goals, both sides returned to default setting, canceling out each other’s goal attempts as the chances decreased.
