REPORT: MD6 – Dannaz 1 – 2 Valiant

Brave Boys Smash the Cedars for Second Win of the Season

Valiant edged Dannaz 2-1 for their second victory of the 2026/2027 championship campaign.

The visitors got off to a flying start, breaking the deadlock in the 6th minute. A counter-attacking play found Abuchi Okoro behind enemy lines. The striker, with only the goalkeeper to beat, lobbed the ball over Chukwuebuka, and into an empty net. That lead however lasted only 20 minutes as the hosts drew one back.

David Oyebade received the ball on the flanks before dancing his way past various markers with his fleet-footed moves. An onrushing Musiliu was not enough to deny the winger as he finished off his fine move to pull his side back into the game.

Proceedings remained level between both sides until Ayomide fired his side ahead in the 69th minute. The winger saw his freekick sail into the top corner of the goal after Chukwuebuka slipped.

That goal would prove to make all the difference as Coach Akombo’s side picked up a hard-fought victory, their first on the road this campaign.
