Sporting Lagos leapt up to third on the log with a 2-0 win over Iganmu.
Both sides had to endure a quiet first half as they both created few chances. Like a game of chess, both sides showed adequate counter-measures for whatever the opposition had in its arsenal.
Fans had to wait till the second half to see the first goal of the game.
Sulaimon Saoban was perfectly placed to open the scoring for the hosts as Coach Shola went ahead in the 65th minute. Facing another defeat in the eye, Iganmu Tiger went hunting for a goal of theirs, increasing the pressure.
They however left a gaping hole in their set-up and allowed Sporting Lagos get a second through Yusuf Abdulahi. Coach Ebenezer’s side failed to score yet again as Sporting made it four wins out of five.
