Dino’s 100% run in the league was brought to an end as they fell to a Broad City defeat.
The visitors showed their intentions in the early minutes of the game, stinging the palms of David Ede in the first 10 minutes of the game. Dino responded with one of the best, Hyacinth Ogonna dancing his way past several Broad City players before having his shot blocked in the box.
It was the visitors who, however, opened the scoring. Bakare Ayomide rose highest in the box, to nod the ball home from close range, after Broad City won a corner. First blood, Broad City.
Dino, undeterred by the goal, grew quietly into the game, and created their biggest chance half-way through the half. Amos Adzuu was however denied a goal no thanks to a point-blank save by Isaac Okeoghene.
Broad City, after a quiet spell in the game, roared back to life with a second goal. After a rare defensive error by Dino, Terhide Moses found himself one-on-one with David Ede. The striker chose to square the ball to Bakare Ayomide instead, who slotted the ball into an open goal.
Dino turned up the heat in the second half as their search for a first goal continued.
First, it was a Hyacinth Ogonna freekick which hit the woodwork. This was then followed by Amos Adzuu getting the better of Isaac in goal as he opened the scoring. That was all Dino got from the game as they slumped to their first defeat of the season. For Coach Ogunmoyero’s lads, they’re now top of the table, with 13 points from five games.
MAN OF THE MATCH
Sanusi Hanif (Broad City)
The winger was a thorn in Dino’s flesh with his bursting runs and threatening runs down the flanks.
