Beyond Limits returned to winning ways in the league as they won the battle of goals against Dannaz.
With the home advantage, Coach Olumide’s side started the better team, creating their first big chance in the 12th minute of the clash. Kparaobo’s header connected well with a cross floated into the 18-yard area. The wicked bounce of the ball angled it towards goal until Ganiu Olusesi tipped it over his goal.
The hosts would however open the scoring from the resulting corner, with Kparaobo, getting the game’s first goal.
One became two nine minutes later.
The Dannaz defense was caught napping after they failed to clear their lines. The ball fell kindly to Onyebuchi Obasi just outside the box. The captain wasted no time in sending a low shot into the bottom left corner of Dannaz’s goal to put his side two goals ahead.
Being two goals up did not deter Beyond Limits from further asserting their dominance in the game. In the 28th minute, a Beyond Limits player was felled in the box as Dannaz tried to prevent a rebound.
Kparaobo stepped up to the spot and sent the goalie the wrong way to register his side’s third.
Not willing to let the hosts out of their sight,Dannaz pulled one back in the 31st minute. Joshua Obakimi was at the receiving end of the ball after a defensive error by the hosts. His left-footed shot, although weak, evaded Aputaziem in goal as Dannaz opened their account.
Four goals in one half was enough action as the referee called time on the half.
The second half of the game began with both sides equally matched. Dannaz’s bid to catch up with the hosts continued as they closed the gap, in terms of chances created in the game.
They got rewarded for their hard work in the 66th minute as Joshua Obakimi was, again, on hand to pounce, this time on a rebound, after Aputaziem failed to deal with the ball.
Despite all their attempts, both sides failed to get the game’s sixth as Beyond Limits held on to claim their first set of maximum points in the month.
