REPORT: MD5 – Atlantic Business 0 – 4 Imperial

First Half Imperial Blitz Dismantles Atlantic Business

Imperial returned to the top spot after demolishing Atlantic Business 4-0, keeping a third clean sheet this season.

The visitors couldn’t have asked for a better start after breaking the deadlock in the second minute. Kizito failed to efficiently deal with a low cross from the left. The resulting rebound fell to David Ajibade, who tapped home from close range for Imperial’s opener.

He bagged his brace 15 minutes later. After finding space in between the central defenders, he released a left-footed shot that left Kizito scrambling as it sailed into the back of the net. Before the end of the half, the visitors added a third in a rampant display that left Atlantic Business rattled.

17 minutes into the 2nd half, Imperial notched their fourth. Samson Adetoye’s low drive was powerful enough to slide past the goalkeeper and extend Imperial’s lead.

For a second time this season, Imperial scored four times in a championship game this season, while also registering their largest margin of victory so far this season. For the hosts, it’s one of the most difficult starts to a championship campaign, with three losses in five.
