The Creative Championship

Iganmu 2 - 2 Valiant

29th October, 2023

Iganmu, Valiant settle for a share of the spoils

Iganmu Tiger and Valiant faced off in the Creative Championship League match day five encounter at the Remo Stars stadium on Saturday.

The two teams came into this context on the back of defeats and were looking for their first win of the season. However, both sides could not be separated as they decided to cancel each other out.

Valiant got the game’s opening goal through Jefferey Ishaku as the Brace Boys led at halftime for just the second time this season.

Just minutes after the restart, the Tigers found their rhythm and deservedly leveled the scores through Yaya John before Ibrahim Ogede scored five minutes later to hand them the lead for the first time in the game.

As Iganmu tried to see out the game, Owolabi Mustapha’s side stepped things up in the final 20 minutes of the game and their persistence was rewarded as they got back on level terms through Muhammed Abdullahi in the 76th minute.

The game stayed that way before the referee blew the full-time whistle, leaving the two sides winless after four match days.
