Atlantic Business put up a strong performance on the road to beat Imperial 2-0 at the Remo Stars Stadium in Ikenne.
The TCC League match day three clash was between Imperial – with maximum points so far – and Atlantic who were without a win in the TCC League since February when they beat Dino on the road.
The game started with so much intensity and desire as they both went for the game’s opening goal. However, things were quite tough for the attackers as the defenders were on top of their game to deny them chances at goal.
After a goalless first half, the game burst into life as the two teams went in search of the game’s opening goal. The goals eventually came in the final quarter of the game. In the 77th minute, Omah Ebube’s long ball found Sabo Seidu behind the Imperial defence and the full-back laid it on the plate for Dimeji Kilani to bundle home for ATL’s first-ever goal at Imperial’s home ground.
Adedeji Ayeoba’s Imperial tried to get going in attack but the visitors stood strong at the back and made the points theirs as a clearance came off Alase Quadri in the 88th minute.
Imperial were beaten for the first time this season, while Atlantic Business got their first win and successive clean sheet in the TCC League this campaign.
